Arlene Mae (Fife) Chagnon of East Granby, wife of the late Leo Chagnon, died Saturday October 22, 2005 at a local nursing home. Arlene was born November 9, 1909 in South Barwick ME, the daugher of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Elridge) Fife and lived in West Suffield and East Granby most of her life. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Suffield. Mrs. Chagnon is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Lorri Chagnon of colchester, a daugher and son-in-law Norma and Michael Phillips of West Suffield, eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Rolene L'Heureux, two brothers Jesse Fife and Lloyd Fife. Arlene's family would like to thank the staff of Meadow Brook of Granby and the Hospice of Framington Valley for the loving care that Arlene received. The funeral services will be Wednesday October 26 at 9:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road West Suffield with a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church at 20:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield. Friends may call at the Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday October 25 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
