Obituary for Eunice Harris Markowski (Peterson)

Eunice Harris (Peterson) Markowski, 87, of East Hartford, wife of the late Stanley Joseph Markowski, passed away on April 29, 2014. She was born at home on Dillingham Ave. in Falmouth, MA the daughter of the late Arthur and Eunice (Harris) Peterson and grew up in Falmouth, MA and lived in East Hartford most of her life.

She was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft (United Technologies) where she met her late husband, Stanley. She enjoyed gardening and playing golf. She is survived her loving family; her daughter Judith Nelson and husband Randall Nelson from Willington, CT, and her daughter Shelley (Markowski) Livingston from Hillsborough, NC; three brothers, Edward, Roy, and Bruce Peterson; three sisters, Mary Ann Miller, Gayle Barboza, and Nancy Bond; four grandchildren, Lawrence Webb, Ian Michael Livingston, Holly Elizabeth Nelson, and Lillian Jean Nelson; three great-grand children; and many nieces and nephews. Eunice was predeceased by her husband Stanley Joseph Markowski; her daughter Randelle Markowski Webb; four brothers, Arthur, Peter, Jack and David Peterson; and three sisters, Olive Woodruff, Norma Ross, and Patricia Beauchemin.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association . All funeral services are private. The Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield has care of the arrangements. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
