Irene Kryszpin Michalski, 68, of Windsor Locks, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Born in Poland in 1944, she emigrated to the United States with her family in 1959. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Stella Kryszpin, her husband Andrew Michalski, and niece Donna Kryszpin Auclair.

Irene was a loving mother to her daughter Kristina and son-in-law Brian Beckwith, and her son Mark and daughter-in-law Mary Michalski, and a doting Babci to Drew and Jenna Beckwith, and Nicholas, Robbie, and Gabriella Michalski. Devoted sister, Irene is survived by her brothers and their wives; Charlie (Kazik) and Bogusia Kryszpin, and John and Jane Kryszpin. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews will profoundly miss their kind and generous Ciocia.

She was a hairdresser for 35 years and enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, August 25, at 12:30pm from The Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 42 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT at 1:30pm. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield. Friends may call to the Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, August 24 from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Masonicare Home Health & Hospice, 111 Founders Plaza, East Hartford, CT 06108.
