Obituary for Skip Chapman
Skip Chapman, 67, of Southwick, Granville and West Suffield, CT, beloved husband of Lisa Chapman, passed on October 30, 2023 surrounded by his family.
Skip was Born in Westfield on February 1, 1956 son of the late Wallace and Zoa (Armstrong) Chapman. He graduated from Southwick High School.
Coming from humble roots, working his family farm, and a few different respectable jobs after graduation, Skip always was a hard worker. Skip and Lisa started West Side Oil in 1986 and have worked hard together to support their business and dreams.
Skip was known not only for holding a high bar at work, but for his contagious laugh and all around willingness to go the extra mile to help people. Skip was a devoted family man, and truly loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed taking care of his farm and livestock in Granville. Him and Lisa spent many years putting on many miles on his motorcycle going all over the country.
Skip is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Lisa Ann (Chaisson) Chapman, two sons Richard Chapman and his wife Aimee, Johnathan Chapman and his wife Jessica; two daughters Rachel Cutler and her husband Marc and Jenna Brew and her husband Matthew. Twelve grandchildren, Brandon, Savanah, Chayse, Austyn, Summer, Lillian, Roselynn, Aurora, Cassiopeia, Samuel, Madeleine, and Maxwell. One brother Lennie Chapman and his wife MaryJane; and his dear dog Daisy, whom he loved.
Skip was predeceased by his sister Lorie Chapman.
Calling Hours will be at the Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield on Saturday November 4 from 10:00AM- 1:00PM and 3:00 to 6:00PM; with a Funeral Service on Sunday November 5 at 2PM.
