Obituary for Shirley Carolyn Germain (Bradbury)

Shirley Germain of Windsor Locks and formerly of West Suffield passed away August 27, 2022 to be at rest with her parents Clayton and Mildred Bradbury, brother William and son Michael. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Shirley graduated high school as the class valedictorian. She met the love of her life Bob, while he was serving in the Navy and they were married in 1953. They moved to Enfield CT in 1956 where Bob took a position at Pratt and Whitney and Shirley worked as a homemaker and part time legal assistant. In 1965, they built their new house in Suffield where she worked for the Suffield Board of Education retiring in 1991.

Shirley enjoyed gardening, traveling and camping with Bob in their RV, visiting with neighbors, buying from QVC and watching her 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren grow up. In 2017 they moved to Stonebrook Village in Windsor Locks where they made many new friends. Among other things, Shirley will be most remembered for her simple but always "put together" appearance, perfect handwriting, exquisite gift wrapping and love for and pride in her family.

Shirley is survived by her husband Bob of Suffield, son Robert and his wife Linda of Berlin; granddaughter Lindsay Revoir and her husband Dean of Berlin, granddaughter Jenna Trudeau and her husband Dan of Glastonbury, granddaughter Kimberly Giordano and husband Tony of Avon; great grandchildren Brody Revoir, Trey Trudeau, Ella Revoir, Kyla Giordano, Tyra Trudeau and Luca Giordano; "co-great grandmother" Lorraine Magnoli of Rocky Hill; sister in law Meredith Bradbury of West Chester, Pennsylvania; niece Amy Bradbury and nephews Scott, Mark and Chris Bradbury and their families. She was predeceased by her son Michael, brother William Bradbury and dear soul Beth Bradbury.

Services will be held at the Heritage Funeral Home at 1240 Mountain Road in West Suffield, CT on Friday, September 9, 2022; visitation from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a funeral service at 12:00 pm.
