Obituary for Rita Zaffetti
Rita (Fumiatti) Zaffetti, 88, of Suffield passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023. She was born on December 3, 1934 in Rome, Italy. She is reunited with her husband, Albino, her daughter, Rosemary Frechette, and siblings, Rosina, Tersilla, Cesare, Pietro.
She leaves her loving sisters, Emilia and Maria, her three sons and their wives, Robert and Deborah, Walter and Linda, Marc and Sharon, and her son-in-law Mark. She also leaves her 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and other family here and in Italy who all brightened her life.
She had a great passion for cooking. She was employed at Windsor Public School and Aetna as a cafeteria cook. She especially enjoyed to cook for her family, where no one ever left hungry or without something to bring home.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, February 11, at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church, Suffield. Burial will be private.
