Obituary for Paula Rae Topor (Rohrbacher)
Paula Rae (Rohrbacher) Topor, 75, of Suffield and Palm Harbor FL, passed away on March 13, 2023. She was born in Detroit Michigan, on March 12, 1948 to the late Ray Dauphin and Sophie Rohrbacher.
Paula attended The University of Connecticut, raised her family in Suffield and was an active member with First Church of Christ, Congregational. She enjoyed working for Windsor Locks Public Schools and retired in Florida after working for Bay News 9.
After she retired her adventures involved walking and shelling on the beach, mystery trips with her sister Carol, and a love of nature. Paula was an artist at heart, if she wasn’t painting, sketching or doing a puzzle; she and her sister would be creating something new for the craft fairs. She was a dedicated gardener that took pride in her many English style gardens she had in Suffield.
Paula is survived by her three children, Jenifer Sutton and her husband Kevin; Katie Denno and her husband Ben; and Christopher Topor and his wife Samantha; and six grandchildren Katie, Matthew, Nathan, Emerson, Jackson and Lucas, her sister Carol Dauphin, niece Janet Dauphin, brother Marc Rohrbacher, former husband Donald Topor along with her beloved crazy dogs Lefty and Pancho.
Calling Hours will be on Friday, March 17, at the Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road, Suffield, from 3:00-5:00pm with a Memorial Service at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made to World Central Kitchen: wck.org
