Obituary for Patricia "Patty" Darcey (Feeney)
Patricia ‘Patty-Babe’ (Feeney) Darcey, 67, of Suffield died on December 18, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 26, 1955 in Boston, MA daughter of the late James and Phyllis (Connors) Feeney.
For several years, she was a successful realtor before returning to her favorite job of homemaker and mother. She enjoyed antiques and had a great ability to decorate and transform a room. She was a doting grandmother who loved making her grandchildren laugh. ‘Patty-Babe’ was known for her fun-loving attitude. She was a great storyteller and passed along the stories of her ancestors. She enjoyed travel, especially to Old Orchard Beach in Maine, and trips with her best friends since 3rd grade Kathy and Annie. She even made it to the home of her ancestors in 2021 with a trip to Ireland. She was a lover of animals, especially of cats which she had many throughout her life.
She is survived by her children, Paulette Darcey of Suffield, William P. Darcey III, of Attleboro, MA, Candice M. Darcey of North Attleboro, MA, and Seamus S. Darcey and his wife Debra of Suffield, CT; six grandchildren, Seamus Jr., Cameron, Owen George, Dawn, Oisin, and Ciaran; two sisters Kathleen Boschetto of Norwood, MA, and Maureen Scannell of West Roxbury, MA; and a brother James Feeney of FL. She was predeceased by her newborn baby Richard Darcey.
The Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, January 4 at the Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield, CT 06093. Friends and family may visit from 12:00-2:00pm with the Funeral Service at 2:00pm. The Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery on Bridge Street, Suffield, CT.
