Obituary for Frank Edward Kulina

Frank Edward Kulina of Suffield CT passed away peacefully at his home on September 8th, 2023 at the age of 95. He was the son of the late Walter and Josephine (Wrzesinski) Kulina and was predeceased by all 6 siblings. Frank graduated from Suffield High School.

Frank was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and lifelong farmer. Frank was a devote Catholic and member of Sacred Heart Church (and St. Joseph’s Church).

Frank served as Staff Sergeant in the 77th Air Base Squadron of the Air National Guard. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love for animals, a green thumb, and a deep devotion to his family.

Born on March 6, 1928, Frank spent his entire life in Suffield tending to the land and caring for his family. His dedication to farming was unparalleled, and his commitment to the well-being of his family was unwavering. He found solace and purpose in the fields, where he cultivated not only crops but also cherished memories that will forever live on in our hearts.

Frank was not only a steward of the land but also a devoted husband and father. Theresa (Lemanski) Kulina, his wife of 57 years, predeceased him in 2016. He cherished each of his four children, Sandra Newland and husband Peter of Springfield, Thomas Kulina of Springfield, Terry Davis and husband Donald of East Granby, Nancy Psholka and husband Robert of Southwick, and a niece, Kathy Kulina, who was more like a daughter to him. He instilled in his children the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. His legacy lives on through them and the lessons he imparted.

As a doting grandfather to four grandchildren, Charles Psholka and wife Danielle, Lily Psholka, Danielle Davis and Allie Davis; and a proud great-grandfather to a precious great-granddaughter, Ava Psholka. Frank found immense joy in watching his family grow and flourish. He shared his love for the farm and animals with them, creating cherished moments that will be forever treasured.

May Frank's soul rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the fields he loved and the warmth of his family's love. He will be forever missed and never forgotten.
