Obituary for Frank Sibley Kraft
Frank Sibley Kraft, 77, of Suffield, CT, beloved husband of Irene (Sheridan) Kraft for over 52 years, passed away on March 1, 2023. Born in Springfield, MA on August 31, 1945, son of the late Rudolph and Rita (Holmwood) Kraft.
Frank grew up in Longmeadow , MA, attended Longmeadow Schools, graduated from Canterbury School and attended Colgate University. He earned his Bachelors of Arts from American International College (1972), and his Master’s from Springfield College (1994). Frank was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving from 1967 – 1971.
As an Insurance broker for over 20 years, he went back to school and earned his Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling in 1994. He retired in 2010 after managing several detox programs in Springfield, MA and Hartford, CT.
He is survived by his beloved wife Irene, son Erik (Collin) and grandson Graham Kraft. He was predeceased by his two brothers Rudolph G. Kraft Jr. and James Kraft. Frank leaves many nieces and nephews. Frank was also a friend of Bill W.
Funeral Services will be at the Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield, CT,
on Thursday, March 23, with calling hours from 2:00- 4:00PM with the funeral home service at 4:00pm.
