Obituary for Felix F. Horanzy

Felix F. Horanzy, 88, lifelong resident of West Suffield passed away on December 16, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born in West Suffield on May 30, 1930, son of the late Frank and Valeria (Markel) Horanzy.

Felix was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Felix was employed for over 30 years with Kaman Aerospace as a welder. He was also a lifelong farmer. He lived for his gardening, creating fine woodworking such as clocks with his scroll saw, and the camp in New Hampshire that he and Joyce built together.

Felix is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Joyce (Dudley) Horanzy, a son Tom Horanzy and his wife Sharon of West Suffield; a daughter Nancy Horanzy and her companion Richard Blais of East Granby; two granddaughters Erin Horanzy Lukka and her husband Shiva and Kristin Horanzy Cozzi and her husband Daniele; and three nieces Kathy, Patty and Peggy; and a compassionate caretaker Greg Drwal. He was predeceased by a brother Walter Horanzy.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, December 20 at The Heritage funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Road, with a funeral home service at 8:30AM followed by a 10:00AM burial in Agawam Veteran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 19 from 4:00-7:00PM.
