Obituary for Ben Biron

It is with great sorrow we report Bernard "Ben" Biron, 85, of West Suffield, died peacefully on Sunday December 18, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manchester, N.H. son of the late Edna (Martel) Biron and Francois Biron.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Mary Ann (Johonnett) Biron; Son, Donald Biron; Daughter, Cynthia Biron; very dear Grandson, Phillip Biron and his wife Kandi Biron and his great grandson, Mason Biron; Granddaughter, Katherine Biron all of West Suffield, CT. His brother in law Milo Johonnett of Canyon Lake Texas, and nieces Kathy, Lori, Barbara, Joanne and Jean of Texas, and all his children's friends who affectionately referred to him as Dad.

Ben was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was especially proud to have been employed for many years until age 83 for New England Propeller Service in East Haddam, CT. Prior to that he was employed at Hi-G, Inc., and Spencer Turbine.

He enjoyed fishing and all sports. He was the original organizer in 1970 and coach of the Suffield Flyers Ice Hockey teams for which a state Resolution Commendation was received on May 1, 1974. He coached little league baseball for several years, and was an ardent fan of the Boston Bruins Hockey, Boston Red Sox, UConn Women's Basketball as well as the WNBA CT SUN games.

He actively bowled in many leagues, the most recent being Bob Stears Airport League at Bradley Bowl with his grandson, friends, neighbors and many competitors until the start of this season. At age 64 he achieved the honor of having bowled that sought after perfect 300 game.
He loved his family and family get-togethers, especially those where he could show off his dancing, and enjoy a meal out altogether.
