Bonnie (Blaisdell) Carney, 74, of Windsor Locks, formerly of Suffield, wife of the late Thomas F. Carney Sr., passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017. Born in Springfield, MA on March 2, 1943, daughter of the late Howard and Thelma (Quinlan) Blaisdell, she graduated from Suffield Public Schools and lived in Suffield most all her life.

Bonnie was a Senior Staff Associate for Publications with The Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE), Wethersfield. She started in 1970 with 47 years of dedicated service. When someone would ask why she still works, her response would be that she loves her job. Bonnie enjoyed going to the beach for sunrises and sunsets, shopping, photography, NASCAR races, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and supporting their activities.

Bonnie was a devoted mother, who was loving, selfless and caring. She got great joy from making other people smile. She was always ready for a new adventure. Bonnie is survived by her three children Thomas Carney and his wife Emily; Michele Urch and her husband Ian; and Roxane Bednaz and her husband Steven; one brother Howard Blaisdell and his wife Mary Orsatti and three beloved grandchildren Jacob, Sydney, and Matthew.

All Funeral Services are Private. The family is having a Celebration of Life on September 30th from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Sunset Tavern, 341 North Main St. Suffield, CT.
