Obituary for Rosaleen Champagney (Erasmus)
Rosaleen (Erasmus) Champagney, 86, of West Suffield passed away on November 3, 2015.
Born in Easthampton, MA on July 17, 1929, daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Krzystyniak) Erasmus. Rose was a graduate of Easthampton High School and moved to West Suffield in 1957.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She was a member of the Girdle Snappers Group, and enjoyed ceramics, and sitting outside and observing the neighborhood.
She was employed at the former Agan Insurance Company presently the Berkshire Insurance Group for 33 years prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her four children: Thomas and his wife Catherine Champagney of Tariffville, CT, Edward J. Champagney of Roanoke VA, Joyce Emond of Dalton, MA, and Linda Champagney of Southwick, MA; five grandchildren Erika, Kimberly, Mark, Douglas, and Peter; and two sisters Josephine Przada, and Sylvia Gross both of Easthampton. She was predeceased by one sister Stancia Sharac.
Funeral Services will be Monday, November 9, at 9AM from The Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield with a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, Suffield at 10AM.
Burial will follow at 12:30pm in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Easthampton.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, November 8, from 2-4 PM.
