Obituary for Helen Burel

Helen Burel, 82, of East Windsor, formally of Suffield, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Born in Suffield, on September 27, 1931 the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Wlodyka) Burel, and lived in Suffield most of her life before moving to East Windsor. She was employed at Hamilton Standard for over 33 years, retiring in 1993. She was an avid Yankees and UConn fan. She was a communicant of St. Phillips Church in East Windsor. She is survived by her loving sister Florence Santos of East Windsor and brother Joseph Burel of East Windsor; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by four brothers Broney, Henry, Chester, Stanley Burel; and one sister Victoria Groskreutz. Her family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and caregivers at Bickfords Nursing Home in Windsor Locks for their compassionate care.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, March 29 at 10:30am from The Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at St. Phillips Church in East Windsor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Poquonock. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30am to 10:30am prior to the services.
